In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service by processing and closing mortgage loans per our client’s policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines: with special attention paid to communication, compliance, loan quality, and timing. This position focuses on all aspects of the loan processing & closing processes in a regionalized processing center.


  • Prioritize daily workflow to provide optimal service and support
  • Apply proper pricing and mitigate risk, while demonstrating a good working knowledge of loan processing requirements and guidelines
  • Review and understand the current Loan Rate Sheet(s) and current program guidelines
  • Interpret loan documentation received in files, and makes quality judgments
  • Accurately input data into the system and other applications as needed
  • Meet timelines of necessary disclosures and ensure compliance standards are met
  • Provide active leadership through the pursuit of continuous improvement in job process communication productivity, and skill development for self and department



  • 2+ years of experience as Mortgage Loan Processor required
  • Willing and able to commute (no more than 40 miles) to Kent, WA for 1 - 2 months of training before working from home.
  • Successful completion of courses or seminars relating to mortgage banking processing
  • Experience in processing FHA and VA Mortgage loans preferred
  • Review flood certification to determine if property is in flood zone. If it is then take necessary action as required to ensure eligibility.
  • Complete a final evaluation and analysis of the completed loan file and either approve within delegated authority or send the electronic file for underwriting approval.
  • Process the approved and rejected files by communicating oral and underwriting decisions and conditions to the Loan Officer or members, as required.
  • Capable of working efficiently from home.
