Program Director needed for a private, nonsectarian, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization.

The Program Director will manage a program that offers a supportive haven for young adults to geriatric consumers with chronic mental illness and co-occurring disorders. This role will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality services, and fostering a positive environment that empowers individuals on their recovery journeys.

Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision:

  • Provide strong leadership and clinical supervision to staff, ensuring program compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement client treatment plans, monitor service delivery, and mentor staff to deliver exceptional care.

Clinical Expertise:

  • Utilize evidence-based approaches, including the Prism Model, to guide clinical interventions and program development.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Licensed Personnel to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

Program Management:

  • Develop and maintain a balanced budget, manage resources effectively, and schedule regular staff meetings.
  • Assist in crafting program and regional strategic plans to ensure alignment with agency goals.

Safe & Supportive Environment:

  • Maintain a safe and welcoming space for consumers, staff, and visitors. Ensure facilities and equipment are functional and well-maintained (duties may vary).

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Guarantee program adherence to all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive program records, ensuring timely submissions to internal and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience in community support programs serving adults with chronic mental illness.
  • Experience with the Prism Model and a strong understanding of co-occurring disorders is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including email, internet, and electronic health record systems.
